The Full Story

Hi, I’m Sherry Hayes, founder of Little Shoppe on Penn. I opened the shop just over a year ago with a simple dream: to create a welcoming space where local artists could showcase their work and feel supported. What started as a small idea has grown into a vibrant community I'm proud to be part of.

Mission

Little Shoppe on Penn exists for the artists and the community—plain and simple. This isn’t about big profits or high markups. Artists rent space affordably, and I take a small 15% commission to help cover essentials like electricity, internet, and a little bit of marketing. The rest? It goes right back into supporting the makers who give the shop its heart. It’s a creative co-op, not a corporate storefront.

Vision

Looking ahead, the goal is to keep growing this creative hub into something even more impactful. I’d love to see more artists, more community events, and more people discovering the power of handmade work. If we can keep lifting up local creators, we can turn our corner of the world into something brighter—one beautiful piece at a time.
